Jul 2019 • Friends we had pretty much a terrible experience start to end. Arrived 7:x for a seven:30ish tee time. Clubhouse locked. After standing around for xv-twenty minutes a groundskeeper brought out carts (we were not the but group waiting in the parking lot). We were then told to tee off and to pay at the plow. Then off we went. The course conditions were the worst played then far this twelvemonth. I have played 30 different courses so far this twelvemonth. Nosotros didn't become to putt on a freshly mowed dark-green until #ix. And then putted on thick dew for the 1st 8 holes. The crude was nigh unplayable. The fairways were other courses normal rough. Very hard to discover your ball on well-nigh every shot even if it was in the fairway. But terrible. One time we got onto freshly mowed greens they were very smoothen an medium fast. The clubhouse person at the plough was not super friendly. And she pushed her hamburgers, chicken breast, tuna salad, chicken salad and everything else pretty hard. She did so again when were leaving and just wanted a beverage. This hurts to report but it's the truth. I actually dear the layout of the back nine and accept always enjoyed playing but that was my last trip to the class. Aug 2018 • Friends This has nix to practice with the golf course directly and EVERYTHING to do with the Club 250 Event Heart. I purchased VIP tickets for Rock the Ridge the mean solar day they went on sale considering I wanted to be sure to get the seats I wanted since all other tickets were general admission. I purchased table #6 and table #vii with 4 seats at each for a total of viii tickets. Both were located on the front right corner of the phase, which is where I wanted to be. I messaged them ahead of the event twice to ensure I was getting the tables I requested and non placed at them randomly. They didn't return my request. When I arrived there were approximately 15 tables sold instead of the 10 available on the event map. We were told my "table" was on the left side of the phase towards the back. I told them that was impossible and went through the scenario. They again assured me the tabular array, not tables, was on the left side and all tables had names on them. Nosotros walked that direction and establish a 40" table with my name on information technology and 8 chairs crammed effectually it. As I looked around I noticed the fifteen other tables with anywhere from ii chairs to approximately 14 - with that i being for a party. The tables I had chosen on the map were occupied by other folks. Why the assumption was made I wanted all 8 tickets at one table is beyond me and to have that many effectually a tiny table is ridiculous. A lot of lessons learned here. One beingness the "Very responsive to messages" on FB isn't true, for me, since I never heard back from them either time. Secondly, they are deceptive when it comes to how they handle and honor ticket purchases. Don't post a map to choose your seats and then not give folks the seats they physically chose on the website. And finally, the biggest lesson, don't bother with a place that only cares about taking your money - $143.12 in this instance, and not about transparency. If there were changes or misunderstandings they could take been addressed when I contacted them on FB or even walked over to my table when I was messaging them from there (It'southward not like they didn't know where I was sitting) but they chose non to. We also savour a dinner and amusement at the 250 lounge. The food is always fantabulous! Since information technology's a 40 minute drive from my area this experience volition not be repeated. May 2016 • Friends A group of friends decided to head over to Timber Ridge on a holiday weekend for a bit fun. To be condom, we called a week ahead for a tee time. Arriving 45 minutes ahead for a bit of warm up before our round, we checked in and did a bit of range and practice green time. We headed to the tee box five minutes in advance of our tee time, just as four carts were making a bee line to the first tee directly from the parking lot. Request nigh a tee time, they mumbled something most tee times were not needed. With no starter on the box and not wanting to have a confrontation, we waited. Teeing off 25 minutes after our reserved tee time. Fortunately, the rude groups in front of us but played the front ix. Then the mood of our group was not superior as nosotros started, still, nosotros fabricated the best of the state of affairs and had fun inside our group. We had open up sailing on the dorsum ix and the fun factor improved greatly. We practice like playing this course. The layout is nice with a mixture of easier and more challenging holes. The greens this day were in smashing shape, hard and adept quickness. Nosotros like playing this course and will probably find our way back before the cease of the season. Only unfortunate this day that ran into other golfers that were quite sure that rules and course etiquette did non apply to them, with no course employees to available to convince them otherwise. Aug 2015 • Friends Have had a couple opportunities to golf game at the 18 hole Timber Ridge course this year. The grade has fabricated neat progress since 12-eighteen months ago. Unfortunately, as many areas in this part of Indiana, the devious Ash Tapping has washed significant damage to this older, tree lined grade. The pesky beetle has run its wrath and killed many trees that in one case added beauty and challenge to this grade. A year agone, the form was working to cutdown and remove the expressionless trees. They accept done a great job, including grinding out many of the tree stumps. The course, on many holes, is much more than open and forgiving to errant tee shots. So golfers accept a great opportunity to score well, even from the back tees. This makes the course perfect for beginning golfers, as well as the more skilled. Player friendly whether you lot want to walk or ride. The course was in fantabulous condition when nosotros played. A couple tee boxes were a bit rugged, notwithstanding, fairways and rough were well maintained and greens were excellent. As ever, grade direction was extremely friendly and obliging. As a testament to how well operated and kept this course is, it is the host to many outings also as high school events. The week we played, the course was ready for a girls' high school bi-canton golf tournament with 5-6 high school teams. Our time at Timber Ridge was great and we will exist back. They have made improvements to the previous grade. However, like many courses in this part of the state, their copse were hit hard past the ash borer. They now have most of the expressionless copse down and removed. All the same, the stumps remain. Unfortunately, the loss of the trees has really opened up the form, making it less challenging and (for me) less fun. The tees and greens were nicely maintained for this early in the season. Hope to run into improvements in the crude equally the course dries out. The layout of the course is nice, though generally open wherein the golfer of the mind tin wail away with little chance that an errant shot will be in serious problem. Probably the most fun series of holes are 10, xi and 12, just like the concentration and ball placement asked for on 10 and 11 especially. The social club house has been repurposed. The Pro Shop has been moved from the Westward to the East finish. Currently, the Pro Shop is nix special. The reason for the motility is that ownership has upped their game and brought to other business to the premises. First is Club 250 which encompasses the previous bar and large outcome room. The bar has always been very nice and remains and then. Thus, yous can programme to terminate at the nineteenth pigsty after your circular and enjoy a drink and food. Nada to do with golf, but Club 250 has bands playing many Sabbatum nights. So if y'all desire to brand a total day of information technology, you can play a round of golf, take a very squeamish meal at TJ Fables (the upper end restaurant also upper the same gild business firm roof at Timber Ridge) and end up in Society 250 for drinks, music and dancing.
